Cheryl Gooldin moved to Zephyrhills FL in 1977 from Ohio. As a young child, she told her parents she wanted to be an undertaker. Cheryl graduated from Zephyrhills High School before attend Miami-Dade Community College where she graduated with an A.S. in Mortuary Science. Cheryl has dedicated her career to serving families. Working as a licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer for almost 30 years, Cheryl has assisted thousands of families to honor their loved ones. She co-founded Coastal Cremations with her husband John in 2009. Cheryl is the manager at Coastal Cremations in New Port Richey. The Gooldin’s live in New Port Richey with 3 cats; Squirt, Coco and Casper. They attend Joining Hands Community Mission Church UMC. Cheryl loves the Tampa Bay Rays, Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Bucs, and recently built a three foot model (from scratch) of the Buccaneers Pirate ship for a friend.

John Gooldin : Co-Founder/Funeral Director

John W. Gooldin, has been a licensed Embalmer/Funeral Director for over 39 years. He is a graduate of the University of Rio Grande (formerly Rio Grande College) with an A.S. in American History, a graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. John has served many positions in his funeral career including Funeral Director, Location Manager and Acting General Manager both in Ohio and Florida. John is a longtime member of Kiwanis, B.P.O. Elks and the NRA. He co-founded Coastal Cremations, Inc. (Zephyrhills, FL) and Coastal Cremations & Funeral Care (New Port Richey, FL) with his wife, Cheryl. John is in charge at the Zephyrhills location and lives in New Port Richey. John likes golf, target shooting and coin collecting when he has time.

Grace Vickers grew up in South Florida and attended Cooper City High School in the 80’s. After graduation, she studied child development at St. Thomas University in Miami. Using her education, she positively affected children as a preschool teacher for many years. When Grace moved to Spring Hill, Florida years later, she started her career in the funeral profession as a clerk for a cemetery in New Port Richey. This was where she realized she has a great capacity for caring and helping families cope through difficult times. She has been blessed to work with Cheryl & John Gooldin and given the opportunity to help serve families on a personal level while working as the office manager for Coastal Cremations since 2012.

In the off hours, Grace is an avid gardener, growing orchids and jades at home. She is a proud mother of her incredible daughter, Rose. She also enjoys time with her dogs, Alice and Oswald. Growing up in South Florida, she spent many days and nights at the beach. Now relaxing at the beach has been replaced with kayaking and soaking in the beautiful springs throughout Florida and especially the Weeki Wachee River.

Mike was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee and moved to Florida in 1956. After completing high school in Clermont, Florida, Mike graduated from Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. Mike has been licensed as a funeral director and embalmer in Florida for over 50 years. He has served as President of Zephyrhills Kiwanis Club and on the Board of Directors. He has also served the community as Exalted Ruler of The Zephyrhills BPOE and Board of Directors and many other positions. Presently, Mike is also on The Board of Directors of The Florida Elks Youth Camp.
Mike was married to his beautiful wife Carolyn for 50 years and has 2 wonderful children, Clay and Ashley. He enjoys golfing and traveling in his spare time.
